Volunteer with us! | Connecticut Food Bank
Connecticut Food Bank welcomes individuals and groups that want to help fight hunger in our community. We have lots of options for you to help in our warehouse, office, or at sites throughout our service area.

During the COVID-19 Pandemic, we need your help more than ever!

The need for food is rising daily across our service area. And we need your help to keep food sorted, packed, and ready to go. We are committed to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace that minimizes risk to workers, our network partners, and the people we serve. We have increased social distancing and sanitation procedures in our warehouse.

If you are well and able to volunteer, please consider registering to spend time with us. We will ask you some screening questions before we can admit you to our warehouse and appreciate your understanding that this is for everyone’s health and safety.

When you arrive, we will use a touchless thermometer to take your temperature, which must read below 100.4 degrees. You will be asked:

Have you traveled outside the country within the last 14 days?

Have you traveled to or from an area of the U.S. that has experienced high rates of Coronavirus activity in the last 14 days?

Have you had close contact with or cared for someone diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last 14 days?

Have you been in close contact with anyone who has traveled within the last 14 days outside of the U.S.?

Have you experienced any cold or flu-like symptoms in the last 14 days (to include fever, cough, sore throat, respiratory illness, difficulty breathing)?

If the answer is “yes” to any of the questions, we regret we will not admit you to the building to volunteer. Thank you for your understanding.
