September is Hunger Action Month

30/Aug/17 / 14:01

September is Hunger Action Month, and it’s fast approaching. The Connecticut Food Bank has many plans and activities happening during the month. We would like to work more closely with you and your program to support your efforts in building hunger awareness and action in your communities. We also hope to spotlight your program’s efforts, and appreciate a connection to any of your clients who may want to tell their story. Contact your Member Services liaison to let us know about activities you are planning for Hunger Action Month – we’ll post it on social media and our e-news.

We’ve also developed a kit with ideas for ways to build hunger awareness in your community during this action month including a brief on how to raise funds to support your program. Click here for the kit.

Mark your calendars for Hunger Action Day on September 14 and get out your orange. We’ll all be wearing orange to raise awareness about hunger and encourage you and your team to join us.

Please reach out to us if you have any ideas, suggestions, thoughts or questions. We’d love to hear from you. And stay tuned for more information from us.
