The Walk Against Hunger is held each spring in New Haven and Waterbury to raise money and awareness about the problem of hunger.
In 2006, individuals, teams, donors and corporate sponsors raised more than $130,000. Whether you walk on your own or with a team, every dollar you raise helps provide food - and hope - to someone in need.

Fundraising Prizes
Every registered walker has the chance to win fabulous prizes including roundtrip tickets for two on Southwest Airlines, a Walk Against Hunger T-shirt, photo frame, boat bag and picnic blanket. Every walker will also receive a 'goodie bag' filled with fun stuff from local merchants.
A Grand Prize of 2 roundtrip airfare tickets, courtesy of Southwest Airlines, will be awarded to the individual who raises the most money overall from all participants at this year's Walk Against Hunger events in Waterbury and New Haven. Last year's Grand Prize winner, Lenora Moore-Turner, raised $3,115.
