Food For Fashion Returns for Fifth Year Fighting Hunger

Jade Marketing Group, LLC, the Connecticut-based premium denim company, is joining Big Y World Class Markets and radio stations 96.5TIC, Hot 93.7 WZMX, and 100.5 WRCH for its 5th Annual Food For Fashion food drive.

Nearly half a million Connecticut residents are hungry and one out of every five children in the state is food insecure. Food For Fashion provides a way for shoppers at Big Y to fight hunger by purchasing a Sack Hunger bag for $10 at checkout. Show your receipt for the purchase of a Sack Hunger bag at the Jean Machine van outside the Big Y in Mansfield on Saturday, December 5, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., to receive a free pair of Amethyst jeans. Jade has also committed to donate one pair of jeans for each pair given out at the event to non-profits that provide clothing to people in need. The Jean Machine will also be accepting donations at the 96.5TIC Holiday Concert on Saturday, December 12, at the Oakdale Theater in Wallingford, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Food For Fashion has raised over $90,000 to date in the form of Big Y Gift Cards and Big Y brand non-perishable food items for the Connecticut Food Bank and other hunger relief organizations.
