Development Director
Description:
Responsible for food bank's funding base. Supervises Communications Coordinator, Special Events Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator, Grants Coordinator, and Development Assistant. Reports to the Executive Director.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and implement on-going plan to expand and enhance CFB's funding, public relations, special events, and volunteer efforts.
- Coordinate direct mail campaigns.
- Oversee financial donor database maintenance.
- Supervise fundraising and public relations events, and coordinate with other departments as necessary.
- Supervise creation and editing of CFB publications, such as newsletter and annual report<./li>
- Oversee volunteer recruitment and retention efforts.
- Edit funding proposals to foundations, corporations and other organizations.
- Attend senior management and Board of Directors meetings.
- Serve on the Marketing Committee.
- Represent CFB at public functions as requested by the Executive Director.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
Energetic multitasker. Strong written, analytical, organizational and supervisory skills. Strong computer and data management skills. Ability to make effective oral and written presentations. Ability to work independently in deadline driven environment. Must be able to contribute to a positive work environment with commitment to social justice.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree. Minimum of 5 years equivalent development work. Ability to demonstrate successful fundraising work.
