This year’s Walk Against Hunger was a resounding success. More than 700 participants in nearly 70 teams helped us raise $90,000. That’s enough food to provide more than 180,000 meals to people in need in 127 cities and towns across six counties of Connecticut. From babies in strollers, to seniors, to families, to business groups and faith communities, as well as some adorable dogs and pups, we were thrilled to see so many people support our mission to provide nutritious food to people in need.
In addition to the Walk itself, th day featured special activities for kids, a Velcro Wall, free coffee from Starbucks, great music from WPLR, and lunch for all participants provided by Subway Restaurants.
Walk Against Hunger was presented by Subway Restaurants and the Frederick A. DeLuca Foundation.
