Are you looking for a way to help provide food to people in your community? Connecticut Food Bank’s Mobile Pantry Program may be the answer. Our truck will come to your location with 8 – 10 different items, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, bread and/or dairy products to be distributed to those who need it. Here are the basic requirements:
- The site must be at least 60 feet long by 55 feet wide
- The entrance needs to be at least 10 feet wide, with a minimum of 8 additional feet on one side that is free of obstructions (fences, fire hydrants, parked cars, signs, etc.)
- Distribution may not take place on the street or in a commercial parking lot
- A minimum of 10 volunteers at each distribution with the ability to lift at least 10 pounds
- A commitment to providing this service once a month year round
