In Connecticut, one in seven households can’t always afford the food they need. Connecticut Food Bank’s interactive group learning experience is called Hunger 101.
Hunger 101 gives people a taste of what food insecurity—or hunger—really is. Participants walk in someone else’s shoes and see firsthand what it’s like to struggle with poverty and food insecurity in Connecticut. Hunger 101 captures the daily stress of hunger as you learn how to feed a family for a day with no or limited resources.
Hunger 101 is a group learning experience for people age 12 and older. Designed for groups of 12 to 30 participants, the food bank can deliver the program at your site or at one of our facilities. The experience can be adapted for a 45 to 90 minute delivery. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 203-469-5000 to schedule Hunger 101 for your group.
